Dea’s Spinach Artichoke Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. frozen spinach thawed (9-10 oz)
  • 1 jar marinated artichokes, drained and chopped
  • 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 2/3 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes (or to taste)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325º
  2. Melt butter in medium saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Sauté onions in butter until translucent.
  4. Add remaining ingredients one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Add ingredients in this order:
    Spinach
    Cream Cheese
    Sour Cream
    Parmesan Cheese
    Artichoke Hearts
    Red Pepper Flakes
  6. Remove from heat and spoon into 1.5 quart casserole*.
  7. Top with Mozzarella.
  8. Bake 15-30 minutes, or until warm through and cheese has melted

Notes

*Can use 2 qt casserole. If doubling, use 3 qt casserole.
